Position Description

Concordia University is now seeking applicants for the position of part-time, exempt Administrative Assistant in the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Department at the CUAA Ann Arbor, MI campus. The Administrative Assistant will support through clerical and scheduling services, working directly with the Director of Counseling and Psych. Services to ensure the smooth running of the counseling center. The Administrative Assistant will work part-time (about 4 hours each day, but less than 20 hours per week) between the hours of 8am-5pm M-F with some flexibility. This is the first year of a five-year grant funded position, contingent on Congressional appropriation for years two through five.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scheduling: Student counseling appointments and wellness events
  • Filing: scanning and organization of student counseling records
  • Data entry: Titanium Schedule electronic record keeping system
  • Collating and assembling documents
  • Coordinating Travel
  • Maintain the legal and ethical integrity of CAPS by abiding by HIPPA and FERPA law
  • May perform other duties as assigned
  • Implementing and upholding COVID-19 policies for CAPS to minimize spread / exposure

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod

Education and Experience

  • Specific experience, skill set and/or training in related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred

Compensation and Benefits

This is a part-time, exempt (salary) staff position. Wages will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. Tuition benefits are available for employees; however, there are no other benefits associated with this position.
