Concordia University is accepting applications for the position of Marketing Strategist. This full-time, exempt position is responsible for being the main marketing contact for the Concordia University Ann Arbor campus. This position is part of a larger supportive team Office of Strategy and University Affairs, which includes Strategic Communications and University Marketing. The University Marketing team is located at Concordia University's Mequon, WI campus but this position will be located at the Concordia University Ann Arbor campus. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the embedded strategist for the Ann Arbor, supporting marketing campaigns and initiatives that demonstrate measurable impact on enrollment goals
  • As part of the Marketing Department, collaborate with colleagues on projects, planning, and strategy
  • Assist admissions in the development and implementation of communications flow including conventional mailings, emails, and texts to prospective students
  • Work with the Director of Online Experience on website updates and strategy
  • Develop collateral for Ann Arbor and admissions
  • Capture photographs, videos and other media for use in marketing pieces
  • Help maintain clear and regular communication between the marketing team housed in Mequon, WI and Ann Arbor campus leadership

Requirements

  • Exceptional written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Competency working with the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), with examples provided
  • Competency with photography and video equipment
  • Familiarity with marketing automation (knowledge of Hubspot preferred)
  • Passion for working in a faith-based/mission-driven organizations
  • An understanding of analytics and how to apply learnings to improve campaigns
  • Ability to occasionally travel to offsite venues, Concordia University Wisconsin, and to work some weekends and evenings
  • Self-motivation, ability to work with teams at a distance, and strong critical thinking skills

Education and Experience

An Associate degree (Bachelor degree preferred) and a minimum of 2 years' experience with media production, design, marketing, sales, or other similar functions preferably in higher education.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, staff, exempt position. Starting range is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience. Concordia health, disability and retirement plan enrollment is available to full-time employees and their eligible dependents.
