This is a full-time, exempt position responsible for the operation and staffing of the Appleton Center. This position reports to the Executive Director of Centers and Accelerated Programs.


  • Represents Concordia at community events, meetings and organizations
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, evaluates center staff members
  • Maintains Center facility
  • Promotes programs using public presentations and various types of media, where appropriate
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates faculty
  • Recruits and advises in-coming students
  • Assures students meet entrance and graduation requirements
  • Manages center budget
  • Submits requisitions for program and center expenses
  • Interacts with various offices within the university as well as outside constituents
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge and skill in the use of a computer and Microsoft Word Office software
  • Experience in personnel processes including hiring, supervision, evaluation, discipline and separation
  • Able to prioritize and juggle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Knowledge of office procedures and use of basic office equipment
  • Able to deal with interruptions and work in a fast paced office environment
  • Able to travel overnight on occasion
  • Able to work evening and weekend hours as required

Education and/or Training

A Master's degree, or higher education credential, in an appropriate field is required and two to five years of increasingly responsible management experience, preferably in higher education.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time position. Starting range is dependent upon on individual qualifications and experience. Concordia health, disability and retirement plan enrollment is available to full-time employees and their eligible dependents.
