Concordia University invites applications for the full-time, 12-month faculty position of School of Health Professions Interprofessional Clinic Coordinator. This new position will be housed in the School of Health Professions (SHP) and primarily work with the departments of Speech Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Physical Therapy (PT) coordinating clinics located on campus and in the community. This position reports directly to the Dean of SHP and is located on the Mequon, WI Campus.

Responsibilities

Concordia University full-time faculty fulfill the university's mission to help students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world via teaching, scholarship and service. The position is a full time faculty position with 50% teaching, and 50% spent coordinating the various School of Health Professions Inter-Professional Clinics (SHIP Clinics). This position interacts primarily with the Lutheran Church Charities (comfort dog), handlers and the OT/PT/SLP coordinators of the various clinics.  Teaching responsibilities will primarily focus on Inter-Professional Education (IPE) and Animal Assisted Treatment (AAT) courses. The clinic coordination will include oversight of the AAT Certificate, including the scheduling and care of the SHP Comfort Dog.  Specifically, the person in this position will coordinate IPE experiences within SHIP clinics, SHP, and work with the CUW IPE Director as the representative from SHP for campus wide events. This person will also work closely with the School of Business administration to collaborate on the management of the clinics and development of an SHP management course and other potential IPE courses.

Qualifications

  • Applicants will hold an earned doctorate in speech/language pathology, occupational or physical therapy; candidates who are ABD may be considered
  • A minimum of at least 5 years of clinical experience in their chosen field and experience in an academic setting
  • The successful candidate will be highly organized and detailed, possessing excellent communication skills with the community, students and colleagues

Compensation and Benefits 

This is a full-time, faculty, exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
