Concordia University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position in Occupational Therapy. This position reports to the Chair of the Occupational Therapy Department in the School of Health Professions at the Mequon, WI campus.

Responsibilities

Concordia University full-time faculty fulfill the university's mission to help students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world via teaching, scholarship and service. The successful candidate will primarily teach courses in the areas of Mental Health and/or Adult Rehabilitation, and will mentor students in the Occupational Therapy program. Concordia University faculty are active scholars in their academic disciplines and participate in the life of the university via curriculum development, academic program assessment, and other activities that support student recruitment, retention and engagement. All Concordia faculty are expected to demonstrate excellence in college-level teaching. 

Qualifications

  • Applicants will hold an earned doctorate in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline; candidates who are ABD may be considered
  • Prior successful teaching experience in higher education is preferred
  • Eligible candidates will have current licensure or be eligible for licensure to practice occupational therapy in Wisconsin
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience
  • Possess an interest in establishing/continuing a line of research inquiry
  • Willingness to collaborate with faculty in various healthcare disciplines within the School of Health Professions, as well as the campus at large

Compensation and Benefits 

This is a full-time, faculty, exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
