Concordia University invites applications for either a full-time, 12-month faculty position or two .5 FTE faculty positions in Graduate Nursing. This position reports to the Co-Directors of the Graduate Nursing Program in the School of Nursing at the Mequon, WI campus.

Responsibilities

Concordia University full-time faculty fulfill the university's mission to help students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world via teaching, scholarship and service. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for didactic teaching, with potential clinical instruction based on program needs, and will mentor students in the Graduate Nursing program. Concordia University faculty are active scholars in their academic disciplines and participate in the life of the university via curriculum development, academic program assessment, and other activities that support student recruitment, retention and engagement. All Concordia faculty are expected to demonstrate excellence in college-level teaching. 

Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in nursing required
  • Current registration to practice professional nursing in Wisconsin
  • Certification as a primary care family or adult-gerontology nurse practitioner required
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a nurse practitioner
  • Previous teaching in a graduate nursing program preferred
  • Evidence of online teaching expertise preferred
  • Current knowledge of clinical practice and research evidence within the areas of teaching responsibility
  • Experience with program development

Compensation and Benefits 

This is either a full-time or part-time, faculty, exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. Concordia health, disability, and retirement plan enrollment is available to full-time employees and eligible dependents.
