Concordia University is seeking applicants for multiple full-time Speech-Language Pathology (open rank) faculty positions in the new Department of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) beginning immediately in summer 2019. These full-time positions are in the School of Health Professions located on the Mequon, WI campus.

A faculty member within the SLP program will be involved in teaching, evaluating, advising, and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate speech-language pathology students in classroom, clinic, and other settings in their area of expertise. Faculty will also be involved in the admission and selection process, program planning, development, organization, and assessment. In addition, faculty will assist in acquiring and maintaining program accreditation.  SLP Faculty are expected to develop a clinical or basic science line of research leading to opportunities for student involvement; and professional presentations and publications at state, regional, and national, conferences. 

Education and Experience

Applicants must hold CCC-SLP certification and hold (or be eligible for) Wisconsin state licensure.  The preferred candidate will have a terminal degree in speech-language pathology or a closely related area, academic and clinical teaching experience, and a record of scholarship. Preference will be given to individuals with teaching, clinical, and research expertise in one or more of the following areas of expertise: acquired disorders of speech and language, neurogenic communication disorders, motor speech, voice, speech science, fluency, and/or AAC. The applicant should also have excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and computer skills.

Compensation and Benefits

These are full-time (12 month), faculty, exempt positions. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until successful candidate(s) are identified and hired. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
