Concordia University invites applicants for the position of the Help Desk Support Specialist - Informational Technology. This part-time (19.5 hours per week), non-exempt position is responsible for support needs of Faculty, Staff and Students at Concordia University (CU).  This position reports to the Senior Director of Computing Operations and is located in Mequon, WI. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT related assistance for faculty, staff, and students
  • Provide F level computer support
  • Identify, schedule, and train student workers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Technical knowledge and experience in operating systems, software, and hardware for personal computers is required
  • Knowledge and skill with multiple operating systems such as Microsoft and Macintosh is required
  • Desire to continue professional growth and skill acquisition through additional education and participation in professional organizations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, organize work, and meet deadlines in a busy office setting
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate ingenuity and prompt action in resolving problems, and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills are required
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed

Education and Experience 

An associate degree in information technology and/or related work experience is preferred. At least one year of experience working in a customer service and/or helpdesk environment highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a part-time position. Starting range is dependent upon on individual qualifications and experience. There are no benefits associated with this position.
