Health, Dental, and Vision

As you review information about the Concordia Health Plans, please review the Workers Choice Option Chart. The Plans are the same options for both Ann Arbor and Mequon campus, but the administrators are different.

CU will also offer options for employees to select Dental and Vision plans which can be purchased with or without enrolling in health insurance.

Life Insurance

The Concordia Disability and Survivor Plan provides disability income and term life insurance. The disability income protects your income if you are unable to work because of an unexpected illness or an injury. The death benefit provides life insurance (2x annual salary) to your beneficiary (ies) if you die while an active employee.

Paid Time Off

Concordia offers several paid time off opportunities for employees. There are 13 paid holidays given to eligible full time employees. There are also vacation days offered to full time employees, varying based on employment status.

Retirement

One benefit that sets us apart from many other employers is the Concordia Retirement Plan. This Defined Benefit plan provides workers with at least 5 years of service with income during retirement. CU pays over 8% of each eligible employee's annual compensation to fund the retirement benefits provided.

This pension benefit, paid out in retirement, provides 1% of salary for each year worked. We also provide the opportunity for an employee to contribute to his/her retirement savings by offering a 403(b) Tax Deferred Savings Plan or Roth option.

Tuition Waiver

Lastly, you may find interest in our Tuition Waiver Policy updated in 2022. Full time employees are eligible for 90% waiver of tuition for both classroom-based courses and online classes. Dependents become eligible for tuition waiver in a step process, as described on page 1 of the Tuition Waiver Policy.
