Vacation Policy

Full Time Salary Exempt Staff:

  • Less than ten (10) years of employment at July 1st - One and one-quarter (1.25) day for each month completed at July 1st up to a maximum of fifteen (15) working days.
  • Ten (10) years of employment or more at July 1st One and three-quarters (1.67) day for each month completed at July 1st up to a maximum of twenty one (21) working days.

**Vacation time may be used as it is earned. In addition, an employee can request up to a maximum of five (5) days of vacation days that they have not yet earned on the assumption that he/she will earn the extra day(s) in the future months; or will pay back the amount if they should terminate employment prior to earning the days back on their
final pay period.

Full Time Hourly Non-Exempt Staff:

  • Less than one year of employment, but less than five (5) years of employment at July 1st earn 1 day (8 hours) per month up to maximum of twelve (12) working days.
  • Five (5) years, but less than ten years of employment at July 1st - earn 1.25 days per month up to a maximum of fifteen (15) working days.
  • Ten (10) years of employment or more at July 1st - earn 1.67 days per month up to a maximum of twenty (20) working days.

Full Time Exempt Faculty:

Full-time faculty members are entitled to 20 days of vacation during the contract year, unless otherwise stipulated in individual contracts. Faculty cannot carry over unused vacation days to the next contract year or receive compensation for unused vacation when terminating
