Concordia University's School of Pharmacy at the Mequon, WI campus invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences, focused on Pharmacology and/or Toxicology. An ideal candidate would replace our clinical toxicologist faculty member who participated in toxicology education and training with partner organizations, while continuing a robust research program, and teaching in our pharmacology course series.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teaching with emphasis in Pharmacology/Toxicology, with excellence in teaching and learning ideally evidenced by student evaluations
  • Teaching in other content areas as assigned, depending on the interest and expertise of the candidate
  • Practice site opportunities available at the Wisconsin Poison Center, which include experiential teaching of students and residents
  • Development of a robust research agenda in the area of applied pharmacology, clinical toxicology, or related field
  • External funding; candidates should be active, engaged scholars who pursue funding to support their scholarly work
  • Service to the School of Pharmacy, University, community and profession
  • Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
  • An established record of scholarship and experience in academia or health systems is preferred
  • Prior successful teaching experience in a university setting in preferred

Education & Experience

  • Must hold a doctorate (Ph.D., Pharm.D., Sc.D or equivalent) in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related field
  • Pharmacist candidates must be eligible for licensure in Wisconsin
  • Concordia University faculty must be members of Christian congregations. Preference is given to members of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
