Concordia University invites applicants to the position of full-time Admission Specialist at the CUW Mequon, WI campus. The Admission Specialist is focused on the development and implementation of an effective communication strategy to maximize new student applications and admissions within an assigned territory. Working in tandem with a partner Enrollment Counselor, the Admission Specialist will hold primary responsibility for follow-up and ongoing communication with prospective undergraduate students through a full range of modes.

Positivity, responsibility, communication, and organization are key skills for success in this role. This hourly, full-time, non-exempt position is integral for key functions within the traditional undergraduate enrollment process. This position will report directly to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. This position is located on the Mequon, WI, campus and is part of the Student Enrollment and Engagement division within the Provost's Office.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interview and counsel prospective undergraduate students
  • Follow-up and facilitate admission Communication via email, text, and phone calls for traditional undergraduate students
  • Make Admission decisions based on applicants' strengths and weaknesses
  • Develop an annual communication strategy to maximize applications and admits within an assigned territory
  • Collaborate with Marketing Specialist on office's communication plan, ensuring timely publication of materials for print, digital and social channels
  • May perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience and knowledge of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod
  • Ideal candidate will have attended Lutheran secondary schooling and/or college
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral, especially public speaking
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a schedule
  • Knowledge and skill in use of computer and software common to the academic setting, especially a CRM
  • Bachelor's degree minimum; pursuit of Master's degree preferred
  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree is required
  • Experience in sales, marketing, and/or customer service will also be considered valuable

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) staff position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. Concordia University benefit options include, but are not limited to the following:
