Concordia University invites applicants for an Adjunct Faculty position(s) that can teach finance and/or economic courses for the Doctorate of Business Administration. The Batterman School of Business has adjunct instructor positions available to create and teach one or more online sections with a live zoom component for the upcoming academic year.

Courses may include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial Theory and Decision Making
  • Applied Economics
  • Corporate Finance
  • Free Enterprise Principals
  • Investment Portfolio Analysis

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare syllabus and teaching plan
  • Conduct class sessions
  • Prepare and administer quizzes and exams
  • Grade students' work, and record midterm and final course grades
  • Must maintain a minimum of three virtual office hours per week
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Doctorate degree in a related field is required
  • Must possess effective interpersonal skills - able to work with diverse, student populations in close, academic, and professional working relationships
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented, and collaborative environment
  • Evidence of teaching college level courses preferred
  • Should have experience creating doctorate level courses, including selecting the textbook(s), journal articles, case studies, and creating relevant assignments for online learning modules
  • Have the capacity to create and teach the classes in the desired timeframe that aligns with the course schedule
  • Ideally should have experience with online learning management systems, including Blackboard
