Concordia University Wisconsin seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in Biology. This is a twelve-month contract with the University. A start date of January 2018 is preferred, but a start date in August 2018 will also be considered. Full-time faculty fulfill the university's mission to help students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world via teaching, scholarship and service. Faculty members participate in curriculum development and assessment, and advise and mentor students while serving as Christian role-models.  This position is in the Department of Natual Sciences and reports to the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at the Mequon, WI campus. The Department of Natual Sciences offers majors in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, and Environmental Studies, while also providing foundational courses for several other professional and pre-professional programs. The incumbent will be expected to teach introductory biology courses, general science courses for non-majors, and upper division courses in the area(s) of specialization. Scholarship is also expected and may range from the biological sciences to pedagogical research.

Position Requirements

  • Master's Degree in field is required and an earned doctorate in biology or a related field is preferred
  • Previous teaching experience in a baccalaureate or higher degree program is preferred
  • Interest in and the ability to include undergraduates in a research program is highly desirable

Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time, faculty, exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
