Concordia University Wisconsin seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in Physical Therapy. This is a twelve-month contract with the University. Full-time faculty fulfill the university's mission to help students develop in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world via teaching, scholarship and service. Faculty members participate in curriculum development and assessment, and advise and mentor students while serving as Christian role-models.  This position reports to the Director of the Physical Therapy Program and the Dean of the School of Health Profession and is at the Mequon, WI campus.

Responsibilities Each faculty member is expected to comply with all rules and regulations for University faculty as outlined in the CU and Faculty Handbooks. In addition, each has the following responsibilities:

  1. Academic
  • Teach 24 academic credits per year, or the equivalent
  • Participate actively in curriculum development and assessment
  • Hold 10 office hours each week when classes are in session
  1. Scholarship
  • Perform research, scholarship or creative activities according to the standards established in the CU Faculty handbook
  • Meet CAPTE criteria for active scholarship and research agenda
  1. Service Responsibilities
  • Serve actively on committees within the department, school and/or university
  • Assist in student recruitment, advising and mentoring
  • Attend opening service, faculty retreat and commencement exercises
  • Attend and participate in plenary faculty meetings and the annual faculty retreat

Position Requirements

  • Current Wisconsin licensure as a physical therapist
  • Three years full time clinical experience or completion of Clinical Physical Therapy Residency Program accredited by the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education
  • Preference given to applicants with clinical experience managing patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction and/or wellness programs
  • Previous teaching experience in an entry level physical therapy program and/or clinical supervision of physical therapy students during clinical education experiences
  • Hold post professional doctoral degree in related field (PhD, EdD, ScD, etc.) and/or Board Certified Clinical Specialist (ABPTS) preferred. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with Certified Clinical Specialist (ABPTS) and/or fellowship training will be considered

Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time, faculty, exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
