Concordia University seeks applicants for a full-time, twelve-month, accounting faculty member who will serve as Chair of Quantitative Business Programs. The successful candidate will be an innovative and dynamic leader who is committed to advancing the quantitative team by further developing teaching excellence and scholarly research. The Chair will supervise and coordinate all aspects of Concordia's quantitative business programs, with oversight of personnel, budget, administrative records, program development and excellence. The chair will teach courses in accounting and quantitative business. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Business and is located on the Mequon, WI campus. Occasional traveling will be required.

Position Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting and quantitative business programs
  • Oversee the quantitative business curriculum, including curriculum development, implementation, and assessment for traditional and accelerated learning modalities
  • Comply with University and accrediting body policies and standards
  • Supervise, orient, evaluate, and promote professional development of quantitative business faculty (full-time and part-time)
  • Hire and coordinate quantitative adjunct instructors
  • Develop and administer quantitative program budgets
  • Chair quantitative business faculty meetings
  • Serve on University and school committees
  • Serve as a role model for scholar-practitioner research and teaching excellence
  • Other duties that align with the University and School of Business strategic priorities

Position Qualifications

  • An active member of a Christian church
  • Earned doctorate in a business-related field, or another field with successful management-level business experience. Candidates who successfully complete their doctorate program by August 1, 2019, will also be considered.
  • Professional license or designation, such as CPA or CMA is preferred
  • Ideal candidates will also have demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching and scholarship, and experience with curriculum development

The Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, faculty, exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
