Concordia University Wisconsin seeks applicants for the full-time, exempt position of Adult Accelerated Admission Counselor at our Madison center location. This position is responsible for recruitment efforts and admissions of non-traditional undergraduate and graduate students and accelerated online students. This position reports to the Director of Accelerated Enrollment as part of the Student Enrollment and Engagement Team. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Recruit, follow-up, and facilitate admission for students from initial inquiry through enrollment
  • Develop an annual recruitment/outreach plan in collaboration with the Director of Community Outreach and Innovation and meet related goals
  • Engage with prospective students via phone, email, chat, text message, and web or in-person appointments for programs that may be offered fully online, face-to-face, or in a blended format
  • Represent Concordia University at college fairs and technical colleges
  • Provide excellent customer service and an exceptional student experience
  • Assist with technology related initiatives such as webinars and online info sessions
  • Work collaboratively with program directors, faculty, students, and staff
  • May perform other related duties as assigned

 

Requirements include:

  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral, especially public speaking
  • Exceptional phone skills and comfort with a large volume of inbound and outbound calls
  • Experience with admission CRM software, including Recruiter, Aviso, and Banner
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a schedule, as well as work within a team environment
  • Knowledge and skill in the areas of marketing and advertising
  • Knowledge and skill in use of computer and software common to the academic setting
  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings, overnight travel may be required
  • Access to a personal automobile

Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree or pursuit of is preferred. Three to five years of professional work experience in academic admissions, marketing or sales is required. 

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position. Starting range is dependent upon on individual qualifications and experience. Concordia health, disability and retirement plan enrollment is available to full-time employees and their eligible dependents.
